BOOK PUBLISHING PROGRAMME
“The Foundation’s books have class and creativity, and an intimacy that resonates. With their independence, authority, and first class reproduction they are the pre-eminent Hong Kong photo histories.”
Dr Peter Cunich, The University of Hong Kong
At the heart of the Foundation is an active book publishing programme. Our books, supported by deep research, provide historical and visual records of Hong Kong and Asia. The Foundation’s next book will feature compelling colour photos of Hong Kong, taken in the 1960s and 1970s.
Our books bring little-known or forgotten photos to light, placing them in the context of their times, and describing the photographers’ lives and work. With reproduction excellence we present photos in the quality that they deserve. Copies of all Foundation books are donated to each Hong Kong public and university library – and to every local secondary school.
Many institutions have assisted the Foundation’s publications. These archives and libraries are acknowledged at the With Thanks page.
